Model System of Victim Services

Denver VS2000 was funded to create a collaborative, community-driven, model system of victim services and to pilot and test new innovations in victim services.

Now named the Victim Services Network, our goal is to disseminate this information to the field and help other agencies, and groups replicate this model within the context of their community.

Collaboration Among Agencies

VSN member agencies have developed numerous protocols and guidelines specifying how victim service agencies work together with regard to:

• Ethical Communication
• Technology
• Vicarious Trauma
• Cultural Competency

VSN members have also developed numerous protocols that outline agency roles and responsibilities to coordinate victim response for crimes such as Child Abuse, Child Sexual Abuse, Elder Abuse and Domestic Violence. The guidelines are available upon request and we hope that they can be a useful tool for your community.
