VSN Membership Categories

Direct Victim Service Providers

Nonprofit or government agencies that:

  • Offer specific programs and/or services to victims of crime
  • Provide services within the city and county of Denver
  • Have established relationships with and demonstrate collaboration with other Denver victim service agencies

 

Benefits of membership:

  • Reduced registration to statewide conferences
  • Access to scholarships to statewide conferences when funding is available.
  • Marketing of agency/services
  • Networking/collaboration
  • Free trainings from VSN

 

Expectations of membership:

  • Attendance at 100% of VSN Quarterly Leadership meetings
  • Regular participation in Denver Victim Services collaboratives, such as:
    • Networking and Advocacy Committee (direct service providers/advocate only)
    • Rose A. Andom Center
    • Legal Wraparound Grant
    • Drug Endangered Children (DEC)
    • Sexual Assault Interagency Council (SAIC)
    • Elder Abuse/Financial Fraud/Senior Exploitation
    • Denver Anti-Trafficking Alliance (DATA)
  • Conduct at least one cross-training to VSN members per year
    • Presentations at VSN meetings (quarterly leadership or monthly)
    • Agency to agency

Allied Organizations

Any organization that has demonstrated some experience working with victims of crime or have indicated a desire to learn more about issues of victimization.

Benefits of membership:

  • Reduced registration to statewide conferences
  • Access to scholarships when funds are available to state wide conferences.
  • Marketing of agency/services
  • Networking/collaboration
  • Free training from VSN

 

Expectations of membership:

  • Attendance at 100% of VSN Quarterly meetings

Any person or legislative body that shows a commitment to issues of victimization
