This show is a collection of spoken word pieces about violence against women and girls, written by some of the most talented authors of our time, including Alice Walker, Michael Cunningham, Carole Michelle Kaplan and Eve Ensler. In fact, Eve Ensler was the curator of this entire collection of pieces, as part of her V-DAY movement (http://www.vday.org/home).
For the past 15 years Eve has made it her life’s mission to educate and empower the world to become active bystanders against violence that impacts the lives of women and those who love them.
We’re only having ONE performance this year, and we want to sell out the 300 plus-seat Driscoll Ballroom on the DU campus. Please come! Tickets are only $10 in advance (http://raapmmrp2013.eventbrite.com/#), or $15 at the door. Please see the attached flyer for more info, and share freely among your colleagues, friends and family (or anyone I may have missed).
